ONE dog was rescued from death by Jake Knight, a SCAR associate. The 15-year old animal rights activist was investigating the neglect of Rocky. Rocky had a major flea infestation around his tail. Jake Knight urged his owners to sign him over. His owners agreed. Rocky is now safe with the animal rights group, South Coast Animal Rescue. "This is one of the worst cases I've seen so far. Devon woman jailed for 168 days for killing kitten in microwave

A vengeful mother-of-three has been jailed for 168 days after being convicted of killing a neighbour's kitten by microwaving the 10-week-old pet.

Gina Robins, 31, put the pet into the microwave after falling out with the kitten's owner, Sarah Knutton, magistrates in Torbay, Devon, were told.

Man escapes prosecution over dog dragged behind car

A 33-year-old man will not face prosecution after a dog was found dead after being dragged behind a Porsche for more than six miles, police said.

Detectives said they were satisfied the animal's death was a tragic accident that followed an "extremely unusual set of circumstances".

The man inadvertently ran over the dog's lead, which became trapped under his car.

Sussex Police, Bring It On

A 15-year old campaigner has challenged the Police to bring anti-social behaviour proceedings against him. Jake Knight investigates animal cruelty and works to enforce existing laws on behalf of his group South Coast Animal Rescue. According to Mr. Knight, during a meeting with Sussex Police, he was told that should he continue to gather evidence of animal cruelty then he may face an anti-social behaviour order.
